You have the capacity to tap into your inner wisdom,
take effective action, and experience wellness from the inside out.

There are many pathways of healing.

Self-advocacy, knowledge, and an experimental body/heart/mindset
are key ingredients for meaningful and lasting change.

Small changes can have large positive ripple effects.
New lifestyle choices and integration can feel easy.

Nourishing your body builds a foundation of vitality and resilience.

And while your body is inherently self-healing, healing often requires
specific kinds of attention, choices, habits, and support.

Infinite nuanced unwindings, restorations, pleasures,
awes, wonders, and healings are available to us
if only we explore and tend to ourselves.

When we experience our bodies more fully through somatic exploration,
we cultivate the gardens of our internal landscape.

Tuning into our own unique embodiment, we may find ourselves
more easily delighted, peaceful, relaxed, vitalized, empowered, transformed.

As we consciously reawaken to our senses,
our outer selves may naturally blossom.

Your body is an ecosystem.
All systems within you are intimately interconnected.

And through our bodies, we are interwoven with nature,
the elements, and every living being around us.

We imbibe our surroundings on every level.
In each gesture, choice, word, and action, we give back our imprint.

According to a multitude of ancient & new maps of consciousness,
we operate from at least three primary centers of awareness.

The words embodiment and somatics imply this multi-layered awareness.

Our experiences are defined by our internal & external perceptions, responses,
and longings as they express through our bodies, hearts, and minds.

In the music of our life, we are the symphony as well as each cord and progression.
We are every single note.

We are sensing, feeling, action.1

Embodiment refers to how we inhabit our tissues and
our fundamental ability to BE in the full, fleshy fabric of our animal bodies.

Because our body is inherently intertwined with all other aspects of being human,
the concept of embodiment points to the full range of how we might be
and experience ourselves, others, and the environment.

It defines the lenses and filters of our perceptions,
as well as our movements in the world.

Fundamental to living our our purpose is the process of becoming skillful,
strong, and nimble in our natural attentions and expressions.

With focus, we are able to deepen and expand our subtle awarenesses,
authentic presence and embodied self-knowledge.

Paying attention to and through our bodies can be a primary and radical act of Love.

And, our explorations and devotional practices ripple into the wider world.

What are words compared to your present moment
felt sense of what is happening, now?

Rest in the center of yourself.

Move from that place.

Here you will find
practices,
studies,
and experiences
of somatic exploration,
rituals of care,
and inspired flow.

Body-tending through
somatic exploration,
rituals of care,
and inspired flow
may allow for greater depths
of human being-ness and
increase our capacities
for wellbeing.

I help people who are
ready and motivated for change
make significant shifts of habit and routine,
tune in more deeply, and
tend to their embodied wellbeing.

I am open to connecting about a range of
experiential and body topics.

I welcome questions, curiosities, and discussions
as to how you might like to be supported.

Over the years, I have witnessed people recover beautifully from
all kinds of health challenges by committing to take excellent care of themselves.

I have also successfully navigated the terrain of my own healing
from acute & chronic injuries of the varieties that befall seasoned movers
and from the challenges of hypermobility.

All of my offerings are rooted in a deep experiential understanding of
myofascial, visceral, craniosacral & lymphatic fluid dynamics,
yoga, somatic movement, and embodied awareness practices.

I enjoy rolling around on things, rolling things around on my Self,
playing with my breath, and exploring in nature.

I spend significant time on the floor, in the water, and wandering or dancing barefoot.
I have neither watched the news nor owned a couch in many years.

I read a lot of books. I love to share and discuss them. My tastes range from earthy to cosmic.

Most days, I write with my favorite pen in a bound journal.
I have been doing this for as long as I can remember.
Every few years, I shred and/or burn the pages.

And then, I begin again.

  1. the phrase Sensing, Feeling, Action is from Body Mind Centering, the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, grandmistress of the subtle realms. ↩︎
  2. The idea of embodiment as awareness & choice, the term self-leadership,and the framing of present moment states vs. long term traits come directly from the teachings of Mark Walsh at Embodiment Unlimited. ↩︎
